Lomond consolidates London presence with strategic waterside acquisition
Lomond has further consolidated its position in the London property market with the acquisition of boutique Battersea agency Hamnett & Ganpot, marking the latest phase of its strategic expansion in the capital.
This follows Lomond’s landmark acquisition of Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) at the tail end of 2024, reinforcing its commitment to building a market-leading presence in key London locations.
Established 17 years ago by industry professionals Oliver Hamnett and James Ganpot, Hamnett & Ganpot has built a strong reputation in the Battersea waterside market. The agency has grown organically, driven by its dedication to exceptional client service and impressive customer retention. Initially operating from a branch on Lots Road, Fulham, the firm gradually shifted eastward, focusing on the ever-evolving Battersea property landscape.
This acquisition aligns with Lomond’s long-term growth strategy, targeting high-demand areas experiencing significant regeneration - including the transformative Battersea Power Station development and the influx of newly built residences surrounding it.
John Ennis, CRO of Lomond, commented:
"Our acquisition strategy is exemplified by the complementary nature of these recent deals - pairing the scale and heritage of KFH with the agility and specialist expertise of Hamnett & Ganpot. This acquisition strengthens our foothold in a pivotal London location, and we remain committed to partnering with businesses that align with our values and meet our high operational standards."
Oliver Hamnett, Co-Founder of Hamnett & Ganpot, added:
"After 17 years of building a business that prioritises long term client relationships, we are delighted to hand the reins to Lomond, a company that shares our commitment to service excellence."
James Ganpot, Co-Founder of Hamnett & Ganpot, reflected on the transition:
" After many fulfilling years with Hamnett & Ganpot, my focus is now shifting towards the developer and construction sector. I look forward to new challenges while remaining in the industry, and I'm confident that our clients are in the best possible hands."
